The Ferio Saxophone Quartet was formed at the Royal College of Music in 2014. In 2015 they won the Royal Over-seas League's Ensemble Competition and in the same year made their debut at the Purcell Room as winners of The Philharmonia/Martins Musical Ensemble Award. Other awards include the Tunnell Trust Award, the Park Lane Group and St Johns Smith Square Young Artists 16/17. Ferio have been featured on Classic FM and 'In Tune' on BBC Radio 3 with Sean Rafferty.
The quartet have performed in major concert venues including London's Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre, the Elgar Room at The Royal Albert Hall and Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton, Newbury, Machynlleth and Petworth Festivals. Commissioning composers is an important part of Ferio's work and presently they have commissioned Laura Bowler, Simon Rowland-Jones and Guillermo Lago.
Ferio signed to Chandos Records in February 2016 and released their debut album 'Flux' in July 2017. Their forthcoming album will be released in November 2018.
